DNS entries are required for automatic configuration of the Skype for Business client to work. Please contact your DNS provider (usually the company where you purchased/registered your domain name) and ask how to edit or create SRV and other DNS records.
The domain Growing-Moss.com used in this example should be your domain name.
Create an SRV (Service Location) record for service _sip, protocol _tls on port 443 that points to host LyncEdge.mgcld.com
You can test the entry by opening a command prompt on a Windows PC and typing:
nslookup -type=srv _sip._tls.growing-moss.com
The output should look like this:
Next a record is added for future federation support:
Create an SRV (Service Location) record for service _sipfederationtls, protocol _tcp on port 5061 that points to host LyncEdge.mgcld.com
The next entry is to support mobile clients and should be done regardless to ensure future support.
CNAME LyncDiscover.yourdomain.com pointing to lyncdiscover.mgcld.com.
