In order to use your GROW data from Management Toolbox in Excel, you will need to follow these steps.
- Ensure that you have created the ODBC connection by following this article: Accessing the Management Toolbox Data Warehouse (Excel).
- Open a new workbook in Excel (if you wish to use Management Toolbox data in an existing workbook, please create a new worksheet).
- Click on the Data section of the ribbon bar:
- Select Get Data>From Other Sources>From ODBC
- Select Management Toolbox from the Data source name (DSN) list and click OK
- Next you will select your select your data set from the Navigator. If you are not sure of your data set, please contact Technical Support
- Click Load (or Load To... if you need to specify the location of the data.
- Excel will load the data into the current location (or, if you selected Load To..., it will load to the selected location).
After you have created the connection, you will need to refresh the data when you want it updated. This article has the steps to refresh your data manually as well as if you want to have the data refresh automatically.
