Set up a passkey once on each device you use, and sign in with a touch or a glance from then on. You can have up to 10.
Add a passkey
- Sign in, then open Preferences (your name at the top right, or Preferences in the left navigation). See Management Toolbox: Your Preferences (Profile and Settings).
- Under Sign-in and security, select Passkeys. The Your passkeys page opens.
- Type a name in Name this passkey so you can tell your devices apart, for example "Work laptop".
- Select Add a passkey and follow the prompt on your device (Windows Hello, your phone, or a security key with a PIN).
- When you see "Your passkey is saved. You can use it to sign in from now on.", you are done.
We email you "A passkey was added to your account". If that was not you, contact support straight away.
Remove a passkey
- Open Preferences > Passkeys.
- Select Remove on the row of the passkey.
- Confirm Remove this passkey? with Remove (or select Keep it to leave it).
You see "Passkey removed." and we email you "A passkey was removed from your account".
The limit
You can have 10 passkeys. At the limit you see "You already have 10 passkeys, which is the most we allow. Remove one first."
A passkey belongs to one website
A passkey works only on the website where you created it. If you sign in to more than one site, add a passkey on each one.
Create recovery codes too, so you can get back in if you lose your device: Management Toolbox: Lost Your Device? Recovery Codes for Passkeys.
