Deleting a user from a SharePoint Site Collection

To remove users from SharePoint:

1. In your site, go to Site Actions/Site Settings/People and Groups. Ensure that you are in the All People group (easiest by ensuring the URL ends in 0)
   
   
2. Find and select the users
3. Select Delete Users from Site Collection on the Actions menu
