Almost every report in Management Toolbox works the same way, so once you have used one you know them all.
- Open the report from the Insights menu (see Report Catalog: All Reports at a Glance to find the one you want).
- Under Parameters and summary, choose the Stores. The store picker shows a one-line summary of what is picked; select it to open the list. ALL selects every store you can see. You can also tick a store group or individual stores, and each store is counted once. On a short window the picker starts collapsed, and your choice is remembered.
- Choose the Dates: pick a Range such as Yesterday, Week to Date, Month to Date, Last Month, Year to Date or Previous 30 Days. The dates it covers are shown on one line under it. For exact dates, select the sliders button beside Range to show From and To. The default is yesterday.
- Some reports have extra choices (for example inspection status or a minimum number of invoices).
- Choose the Format: View shows the report on screen, PDF gives a printable file and Excel gives a spreadsheet you can work with.
- Select View now. The button reads Preparing report while it works, and the report appears under Results.
The Summary box beside your choices repeats what you picked, so you can check it before you run the report.
Get a report by email automatically
Select the Schedule tab instead of Run to have the report emailed on a repeating schedule, for example every Monday morning or after each pay period. The schedule window has a short index of its sections, and the less common choices (copies, subject, custom name) are under Advanced delivery options. See Scheduling a Report, Editing or Duplicating a Scheduled Report and Deleting a Scheduled Report. Your schedules are listed under Settings > My Scheduled Reports.
If something goes wrong
- The report is empty. Check the stores and the dates first.
- It keeps saying Preparing report. Wait a moment. Large reports can take a while. If nothing appears, refresh and run it again, or choose Contact support.
Tips
- Use Excel when you want to sort, filter or combine the numbers with something else.
- If a report comes back empty, check the stores and the dates first.
- Some reports only show stores that share data with a co-op. See Manage Store Information.
