Client Admins can change what a user can see and do, or switch a user off. To bring in a new user, see Management Toolbox: Add a New User and Management Toolbox: Activate a New User. Open Settings > Users > Edit Users.
- Find a user with Filter users (the fastest way) or by sorting a column heading. Deactivated users are grey.
- The list loads every user, so with many users it can take a few seconds.
Change a user
- Select the user's row. Their details open on the right.
- Select Edit.
- Change what you need (see below).
- Select Save to keep your changes, or Cancel to discard them.
| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| First name, Last name, Email, Phone | The user's details. The email address is where the user receives messages from the system. |
| Store group | Which stores the user can see. < ALL GROUPS & STORES > gives access to every store, including stores added later. |
| Features | What the user can open. See Management Toolbox: Features and Store Groups Explained. |
| Comment | A note for your own use. It also shows on the Delete Users page. |
| Activated | Switch on to let the user sign in; switch off to deactivate them. A newly activated user is sent an email. |
| BAID, Company name | Used for fleet customers of Clear Billing Solutions. Leave these as they are unless support asks you to change them. |
Deactivate or reactivate
To stop someone signing in (for example when they leave), open them, select Edit, switch Activated off and save. They are kept, so you can switch them back on later. To remove them completely, see Management Toolbox: Delete a User.
