When trying to email sharing requests and permissions, the user receives an error that says "Calendar Sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network."
Suggested Resolution:
Add the resource with specific permissions from the the Share menu and not through the email function.
- Right-click on the Calendar to be shared
- From the pop-up menu click Share and then click on Calendar Permissions
- The Calendar Properties dialog box will open and you will be looking at the Permissions tab
- Click the Add... button
- From the Global Address List, select the user with whom you want to share the calendar
- Click the Add - > button at the bottom of the dialog
- Click OK
- Choose the Permission Level from the drop-down list of preset permission levels, or choose a custom level from the options for Read, Write, Delete and Other.
- Click Apply
- Click OK
- Have the user test their ability to view / edit / manage the calendar based on permissions you have configured
