Starting in January 2025, the new version of Outlook has started to make it's way into systems and while it's mostly been non-invasive, it can automatically start to associate itself with your email files and email processes on your computer without you knowing. It can also be enabled by selecting the "Try New Outlook" button in the Classic App.
If your Email is setup using the Exchange Setup Process found in this knowledge base, you may be in a situation where when attempting to open Outlook Classic, you are in a "broken loop" and unable to follow Microsoft's instructions on reverting.
In this instance we have created a small executable that can completes the tasks to revert Outlook. The file can be run without Administrative Privileges.
NOTE: This executable will not remove any .MSI installations and does not delete any files/folders associate with your Microsoft 365 installation.
